Abstract Paintings

Abstract painting is a relatively new way of expressing myself.  I took some zoom sessions with tutor Lin Cheung during the first corona-virus lockdown.   Acrylic painting is something I had little experience of and it definitely challenged me.  I mostly use a sketchbook for quick paintings while I develop work on paper and wooden panels alongside.  I work intuitively but at some point intention seems to creep in.

Collage 

Collage is a familiar way of working and one I enjoy.  In these three cormorant images, 'Silhouetted 1’, ‘Curious Cormorant’ & ‘Silhouetted 2’ I used my own painted papers.  They are part of the collection I created for the ‘Gokotta’ exhibition on the theme of birds.
